Independent player guide
Phantom Blade Zero, without the guesswork
Nine days out from launch, half the guides online are already quoting numbers nobody can check. This one labels every claim - confirmed, previewed, or unverified - so you always know what you are standing on.
Start where you actually are
Four pages cover the questions people ask in the week before launch. Everything else is downstream of these.
When you can actually play
One global unlock, translated into your clock, plus preload and file size.
Launch times BuyingWhich edition, and what it costs
Standard versus Digital Deluxe, with regional prices side by side.

The official specs, what the SSD rule costs you, and the settings worth touching.

Difficulty choice, the meter habit, and the five mistakes that cost new players most.
Beginner guide SystemsHow the fighting works
One meter runs offence and defence. Understanding that is most of the game.
Combat system FightsWho you are up against
Every boss confirmed so far, separated from the ones that only exist in rumours.
Boss rosterThe game in sixty seconds
If you have read nothing else about it, this is the shape of the thing.
| Developer | S-GAME, the Beijing studio behind the Phantom Blade series |
| Director | Soulframe Liang (Liang Qiwei) |
| Out | 29 October 2026, one simultaneous global unlock |
| Platforms | PlayStation 5 (PS5 Pro Enhanced) and PC via Steam and Epic |
| Premise | Soul, framed for his master's murder, has sixty-six days to live |
| Combat | Fast wuxia action built on one resource, Sha-Chi, and weapon swapping |
| Length | 20-30 hours of story, roughly 40-50 with side content |
| Structure | Eight handcrafted, interconnected regions. Not an open world |
| Not | A Soulslike, in the sense that word usually carries. See the comparison |
How this site labels claims
The whole premise of the site is one habit: say where each fact came from.
Every claim on this site carries one of three labels.
| Label | Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed | Stated by S-GAME, or readable on a live store listing today | The US price is $59.99 |
| Preview | Reported from hands-on coverage or a demo build, and still open to change at launch | How a boss's second phase behaves |
| Unconfirmed | Circulating widely, with no official source behind it. Not treated as true here | That dying costs one of the 66 days |
Why bother. The game is not out. Almost every number you can find right now is a preview impression or an assumption someone repeated until it looked like a fact. Labels cost us nothing and save you from planning around a mechanic that does not exist.
Who you are fighting
Nine of these are named in previews and trailers. Six have full write-ups so far.
What changed, and when
A guide built before launch is only as good as its last edit.
- 20 Oct 2026 - Site published. Launch times verified against eight regional store listings. Price table built from live listings, replacing the $62.99 figure circulating elsewhere.
- 20 Oct 2026 - Added the corrections page after finding eight widely repeated claims with no official source.
- 29 Oct 2026 - Planned: replace every Preview label with retail-build observations.
Questions people actually ask
Is this an official Phantom Blade Zero site?
No. It is an independent guide written by players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by S-GAME. All trademarks belong to their owners.
Why are there so many labels on the facts?
Because the game launches on 29 October 2026 and most guides were written before it existed. Labelling a claim as preview or unconfirmed is more useful than presenting a guess as a fact.
Will the pages be updated after launch?
Yes. Every page carries an update date, and preview-labelled mechanics are the first thing rewritten once the retail build is playable.
Does the site use official screenshots?
No. It uses no official art, screenshots, or audio. The visual design is built from type, colour, and CSS.
